This Week's Publix Trip & Weekly Totals Link Up 3/3

This has been a crazy week and I am so sorry for being such a bad blogger the last few days. Thursday was my dad's birthday and we celebrated with a family dinner so I did not make it to Publix like I usually do on Thursday afternoons. (Check out the Peppermint Pattie Cupcakes we made to celebrate!) Friday I took 100 of my students on a field trip to the Federal Reserve Bank in Miami so by the time I got home late afternoon, I was way to tired to think about braving the grocery store.

I finally went and did my weekly shopping this morning and picked up tons of great freebies, money makers and deals as well as got the things we need for tonight's little dinner party that we did not have on  had in the stockpile or freezer. Reason #1,237,983 I love couponing is that it no longer costs me a fortune to entertain and have people over : )

As you can see from my receipt, my $108 in savings didn't just come from using manufacturer's coupons. I also saved alot of money by stacking store coupons and taking advantage of in store sales like BOGO promotions. I also had a $5/$50 Albertson's coupon from this week's flyer that my store accepts as a competitor. I definitely took advantage of the start of "Frozen Food Month" by stocking our freezer this week.
