Weekly Totals Link Up: Saved 73% At Publix- Saved $117

Today's trip was so big it needed two pictures. Only spent $43 for everything in both pics : )
Whew, is this week over yet? Heading back to work has been a whirlwind and maybe planning a BBQ for 50+ people the weekend after teacher workdays wasn't my best idea.... Due to being busy with meetings, training sessions, working in my classroom, tutoring, cleaning the house and getting our new patio/slab poured and decorated in the last five days, I only shopped at Publix this week.

Today's trip made me so happy because I was able to get so much stuff that we love and that rarely goes on sale. Once again this trip proved that you can save money on healthy/non-processed foods. I was able to get organic salad, Kashi bars, rice chips, Greek yogurt, almond milk, feta, meatballs, 8 bottles of hair products and more for only $44!

I shopped at my favorite Publix in town and I was able to find the new Toss 4 Cash Gameday Plans coupon booklet and as always this store had all the deals in stock. Since it was a bigger trip and since the store was pretty dead I did break my trip up into two transactions so I could use two $5/$50 Winn Dixie coupons so that really helped to lower my totals too.

I was a little nervous about today's trip because I was not only buying our weekly groceries but I was also grabbing a few random things I needed to finish off the menu for this Saturday. I have been buying things for the party for over a month now and that combined with our stockpile should mean I have everything I need for the party food except for the main course.

For the main course we will be roasting a 70 pound pig (which did not come out of our grocery budget) so I clearly didn't need any meat this week at Publix. I am hoping we should have plenty of left overs for next week : ) Stay tuned for recipes from the party and make sure you check out my newest blog series Stalk My Stockpile to check out photos and details about my stash!
