Well, I am finally back for real this time! After spending a week in Miami at the iTeach Academy for work, we are back in town to stay (I think) for at least the next 6 weeks. It will be so nice to get back on a schedule for shopping, cooking, blogging and life in general.
It's been almost two weeks since I went grocery shopping so our fridge was looking pretty bare. Our stockpile is great but we were in desperate need of fruits, veggies, yogurt, cheese, and a few other items to fill out what we have on hand in the freezers, pantry and elsewhere.
It didn't break 60% savings which I usually shoot for but since we got so many fresh items and a few random extras that Justin threw in (Lifewater...) I am very happy with my total. We broke this up into two transactions and used two $5/$30 Winn Dixie coupons so that is always a nice way to lower costs when buying non coupon items like produce.
Breakdown of today's Publix trip:
Total retail value: $126.49
Total spent: $53.14
Total saved: $73.35
Percent saved: 58%
