Weekly Totals Link Up: Saved 73% At Publix

Spent $21, Saved $55

Today at Publix I made money on salad! Yep, everyone says you can't find coupons for non junk food but I acutally had moneymaking coupons for salad today. I also made money on mac & cheese bowls so you win some, you loose some on the non junk food front....

All in all, I was so happy with my shopping trip today. Along with the moneymakers, I also got free Frusion smoothies, cheap Kashi steam meals, 10 organic Greek yogurts, a rotissarie chicken and so much more. With a few exceptions it was a pretty "healthy" trip and we were able to get all the things we will need for the week to supplement our fridge, freezer and pantry stockpiles.

I only spent $21 today after my $5/$30 Winn Dixie coupon and combined with my mini Publix trip earlier this week I spent a total of $36 for the whole week. Not too bad and very under budget!

So far I have done pretty well over the last two weeks in my goal to spend less at the store and eat more from the stockpiles. We are doing a little cleanout in order to get ready for the holidays and all great sales and deals that go along with them. It's amazing what you can find when you dig to the bottom of the deep freezer. Let's just say we are finding all sorts of things and I am realizing that we are much more prepared for the zombie apocalypse than I thought : )

Breakdown of today's Publix trip:

I didn't know you could get coupons for HEALTHY things like salad. I'm crying inside realizing all the $100+ purchases at Walmart. I am DEFINITELY following you now!!!
