Spent $43, Saved $63. |
I went a little over my usual $50 a week in household/grocery spending but since I actually budget $80 a week for all those things I had a little money in my reserve grocery envelope so it wasn't a problem. I was happy to stock up on razors and paper products at CVS and lots of basics and staples at Publix.
I was hoping to buy more produce at Publix since I have some specific things planned for our menu this week but none of the produce I wanted looked very good for the price at Publix so I will hit up the produce stand near our house on Monday and grab the last few things we need (like asparagus and spaghetti squash).
I spend most of my budget at Publix this week on staples and basics. I was able to get 7.5 pounds of chicken, milk, eggs, cheeses, yogurt, salad, frozen veggies, almonds and more. We are VERY well stocked on dry goods, frozen goods and snacks so it was nice to just be able to supplement those things. (Be on the lookout for a multi-post series on my stockpile coming soon) As always I used a $5/$30 coupon along with my other coupons.
