Sunday's Target Trip: Saved 58%

I hit up the new sale cycle at Target this Sunday and I was able to get some great deals. My Target was still out of the Aquafresh toothpaste deal and completely cleaned out of the OneTouch mini meters that I was hoping to grab as a donation item, but everything else was well stocked.

I had planned on picking up some free travel sized Degree deodorants and some free travel sized sunscreens but my printer decided it didn't like the Target website on Sunday morning so I went ahead and hit the store without those new coupons. I have since printed them and will hopefully get to snag those deals on my next trip.

I also grabbed a cute shirt on clearance that was marked down from $20 to $10 which I was able to get for $7 after a $3 off coupon. I didn't include it in this post since that comes out of my personal "weekly spending allowance" and not our grocery/household items budget.

I spent about $20 after earning a $5 gift card which isn't too bad considering all I got. I didn't see too much in the new Publix grocery ad that thrilled me so I am not really worried about staying under budget this week.

Breakdown of Sunday's Target Trip:
Total retail value: $51.60
Total spent: $21.30 (after $5 gift card)
Total saved: $30.30
Percent saved: 59%

What I got with sale/coupon match up:
  •  2 packages of Reach Floss, retails for .97 cents each
    • Used two $2 off printable coupons
    • Made them both FREE
  • 2 Neutrogena Naturals Lip Balms, retails for $2.69 each, price cut to $2.24 each
  •  10 Sobe Lifewater drinks, retails for $1.05 each, on sale for $1 each
    • In store promotion where you get a $5 Target gift card if you buy ten
    • Made them .50 cents each after gift card
  •  2 Quaker Real Medleys Oatmeal Cups, retails for $1.79 each
    • Used two .50 cents off coupons from the 4/29 RP
    • Stacked with a $1/2 Target coupon
    • Made them .79 cents each
  •  2 five count packages of Zyrtec, retails for $5.29
    • Used two $4 off coupons from the 4/29 RP
    • Made them $1.29 each (we use this stuff regularly and I haven't been able to find many good deals on the big bottles lately so these small packages are a great way to get the best use out of the $4 coupon without spending too much out of pocket)
  •  1 (big) bag of Pretzel Crisps (from the "bulk" section they have featured right now), retails for $2.69
    • Used a $1 off coupon from coupons.com (no longer available)
    • Made them $1.69

  1. Kaylee,

Tip when your printer will not work. Go to customer service they will print you Target coupons at the machine they have. The customer service people will help when it is your turn.
I never have luck with their machine so I stand in line at the customer service and when it is my turn they walk over to the machine with me ask which coupons I want and then print them for me. What a great store!
